Recent Projects

Halcyon continues to grow by leveraging its in-house civil and mechanical construction expertise and reputation in the marketplace. The Company has recently begun work on several large, new projects, including the DUMBO / Vinegar Hill and Chambers contracts.

Reconstruction of DUMBO / Vinegar Hill

The Company is currently working on the Reconstruction of DUMBO / Vinegar Hill project. The project is expected to be completed by 2025. The scope of the DUMBO / Vinegar Hill project includes the following:

  • Historic granite curbs and sidewalks

  • Storm and sanitary sewers

  • Ductile iron distribution water mains

  • Granite paver pedestrian plaza

  • Specialty lighting for the archway

  • Cobblestone streets

  • Steel trunk water mains

  • Granite slab bike paths

  • Tree, shrub, and flower landscape planting

The Company is also currently working on the emergency reconstruction of the existing sewer Regulating & Diversion Chamber No. 1 at the intersection of O’Brien & Soundview Avenue, Bronx, NY. The scope of the Chambers project includes the following:

  • Excavation

  • Sheeting

  • Bypass pumping

  • Demolition

  • Sewer & water main construction

  • Trenchless slip of existing 8’ x 7’ interceptor sewer and construction of new park upon completion
